Amumu Jungle Tips and Tricks

  • Amumu can deal tremendous amounts of damage even though he's considered a tank. On top of that, he also has a plethora of crowd control skills that will win you all teamfights if you use them properly. This is why he's currently one of the strongest tank junglers right now because hitting both casts of Bandage Toss allows you to pin an enemy down completely.
  • Tantrum and Despair are both viable choices as level one skills and it is mostly down to preference which you'll pick first.
  • The high single target from Bandage Toss and AoE from Tantrum & Despair allow Amumu to clear all jungle camps very quickly, giving him more time to get objectives and gank lanes!
  • Always save Curse of the Sad Mummy for teamfights! Catching two or three enemies in the AoE or Flashing to get four or five will instantly turn teamfights in your favor.
  • Amumu's Cursed Touch makes enemies take more damage, always basic attack the target you and your team is trying to kill.

Pro Amumu Jungle Path â€”full clear with a Blue Buff start

  • The Pro Amumu Jungle Path consists of a full jungle clear with a Blue Sentinel start. At level one you'll unlock Despair as the starting skill and after the Blue Sentinel is dead, level up and unlock Tantrum. Proceed to kill the Gromp and after it is dead, clear Murk Wolves to unlock Bandage Toss. Afterwards, proceed to path towards the Red buff side of the map. There you'll want to kill the Raptors, Red Brambleback and Krugs (in this particular order). This grants you level four, upgrading Tantrum to level two as it increases overall clear speed. Lastly, now you can go to the river and kill the Rift Scuttler, after which you can gank a lane or recall back to base.
  • This Amumu Jungle Clear is perfect for a lot of matchups as he manages to arrive to the river side with the outmost priority, but due to the full clear he may be a bit late to the Scuttler spawn.

Amumu Jungle Path â€”full clear with a Red Buff start

  • This Amumu Jungle Path is a full jungle clear that starts with Amumu killing the Red Buff at level one with Despair. It is a very popular alternative to the Blue Buff start, especially when you'd like to gank a specific lane and/or avoid the enemy jungler. As the Red Brambleback dies, Amumu hits level two, allowing you to unlock Tantrum. Tantrum + Despair combo is ridiculously strong versus the Krugs and Raptors which makes these a breeze to clear. These grant you level three, unlock Bandage Toss and start running to the Blue Buff side of the map. Once there, kill the Murk Wolves, Blue Sentinel and the Gromp. Once these are done you'll be level four, upgrade Tantrum and clear the Rift Scuttler, after which you can do a gank onto a lane connected to the river where you're at.
  • If you need to start leashless, this pathing can be changed to do so. Simply start with Tantrum at level one instead and do leashless Raptors, then continue onto Krugs (unlock Despair at level two), do Red Brambleback third and continue the pathing as shown above.

Amumu Jungle Path â€”full clear with a lvl 3 gank from a Raptor start

  • This Amumu Jungle Path features a six camp clear with a leashless Raptor start. Unlock Tantrum at level one in order to clear the Raptors. Doing so grants you level two, unlocking Despair and allowing you to kill Red Brambleback. Next up you'll want to kill the Krugs as they grant you level three in order to unlock Bandage Toss. Having this skill now allows you to do a quick gank on a nearby lane, recall and head back to clearing your jungle. First clear the Murk Wolves, then Blue Sentinel and lastly the Gromp. These will give you level four, allowing you to upgrade Tantrum. Now you can path towards the river to clear the Rift Scuttler and attempt to gank a lane which has the highest chances to result in a kill for your team.
  • This Amumu Jungle Clear is great even for beginners because it allows them to output high pressure on the map and score early kills for their team.
