Jax Tips and Tricks
- Jax loses most early game Scuttler duels versus the "meta" enemy junglers. As such, you should almost always focus on power-farming and scaling because level six is Jax's main power spike.
- Leap Strike can be used to jump onto allied champions, minions and wards. This can be incredibly useful when you're trying to run away or catch someone. Always have the ward item trinket and practice jumping to it so that you can execute it flawlessly when needed. Knowing how to do it will also make you good at Lee Sin ward hopping, since it works the same way!
- Avoid dueling champions with higher movement speed and mobility (Lillia for example) as Jax deals the highest DPS from consecutive attacks.
- Counter Strike is Jax's best skill for outplaying opponents. Carefully timing its usage can allow you to completely negate all damage done by basic attacks— this becomes great during teamfights since you can bait the enemies into attacking you and then turn on Counter Strike to negate the damage and stun them in the process.

Jax Jungle Pathing Guide
Jungle Pathing represents the choices jungle players make in regards to when and where to gank, invade or just path towards. It includes how camps and buffs are cleared between ganks, anticipating counterganks, and spotting opportunities for invading. Effective pathing requires deep understanding of your champion's abilities, their interactions, and how both team compositions play into those choices.
Full clear with a Red Buff start

The recommended jungle path for Jax starts on Red Buff with Counter Strike at level one for some damage mitigation. After Red, unlock Empower and clear Krugs followed by Raptors. This gets you to level three where you unlock Leap Strike. From there, clear Wolves, Gromp and lastly the Blue Buff. At level four, upgrade Empower before moving into Rift Scuttler for control of the river.
The route is consistent and focused on scaling, giving Jax the levels and gold he needs to reach his mid-game spike as quick as possible. An alternative is starting Raptors leashless into Krugs and Red Buff. This keeps tempo high and disguises your opening path if the enemies haven't warded Raptors.
For aggression, Red into Raptors and Gromp gives a faster level three with Leap Strike unlocked. This opens up an early gank on Mid or Bot/Top depending on side. While Jax's damage is limited before items and level six, his Counter Strike stun makes his ganks reliable.
