Zyra Tips and Tricks
- Place Rampant Growth seeds strategically; you can use them to vision-check nearby bushes, zone out enemies or crowd-control them with Vine Lashers.
- Zyra's damage comes from properly executing ability combos. Use Grasping Roots and if they're about to hit an enemy quickly place Rampant Growth seeds at the enemy's location in order to spawn Vine Lashers. Follow it up with a cast of Deadly Spines and make sure to activate any leftover nearby seeds with it. Lastly, cast Stranglethorns to buff the allied plants and keep the enemy CC'd.
- Use Stranglethorns to initiate fights or as a counter-engage tool. The knock-up effect after a delay can disrupt the enemy team and turn the tide of a fight.
- Use Grasping Roots and your plants to peel for your carries. The slow and damage from plants can deter assassins and divers.
- Stay in the backline and use your long-range abilities to influence the fight. Proper positioning ensures you can land your roots and ultimate without getting caught.
- Walk near jungle camps to utilize the seeds spawned by Garden of Thorns, this can significantly ease the first clear and make it a lot faster while keeping your health at max.

Jungle Pathing represents the choices jungle players make in regards to when and where to gank, invade or just path towards. It includes how camps and buffs are cleared between ganks, anticipating counterganks, and spotting opportunities for invading. Effective pathing requires deep understanding of your champion's abilities, their interactions, and how both team compositions play into those choices.
Full clear with a Blue Buff start
The recommended jungle path for Zyra starts at Blue Sentinel, unlocking Deadly Spines for her first skill. It's very important to arrive to Blue Sentinel early so that Zyra's passive spawns seeds. You have to aim the Deadly Spines to trigger all the seeds for most optimal clearing. At level two, unlock Rampant Growth to increase plant output, then clear the Gromp and Murk Wolves. Level three unlocks Grasping Roots, and you can continue to do the Raptors, Red Brambleback, and Krugs. At level four, upgrade Deadly Spines before heading to the Rift Scuttler, after which you can gank or recall to keep power farming with new items.
An alternative route is to start on Red Buff, which tends to be a good choice when you're on the Red Side.
Zyra's early gank potential comes from her high area-of-effect damage and root from Grasping Roots. Prioritize lanes with immobile champions or low-sustain targets to get quick early game kills and snowball.
